The T-STEM Challenge scholarship is based on merit academic performance in high school and college and does not require the student to be eligible for federal financial aid.
Awarded students may receive the T-STEM Challenge scholarship for a maximum of two academic years, and the semesters for which a scholarship is received do not need to be consecutive. Alamo Colleges District may award partial scholarships for a portion of an academic year to an eligible student.
Students in certain Allied Health fields of study eligible for the T-STEM Challenge scholarship might not be eligible for funding during the semester in which they complete academically-required clinical rotations or internships that exceed an of 15 hours per week. The Points of Contact can also provide additional information and answer questions students may have. The Alamo Colleges District will begin the spring semester remotely with most scheduled classes meeting online from January Select programs that require in-person attendance will be held onsite.
